How The Fake Tesla Cybertruck Is Made!

The Electric Cybertruck from Tesla won’t be available till 2021. However, there is a fake Tesla Cybertruck running around the streets of Russia. And this Russian Cybertruck was inspired by Tesla’s Electric Cybertruck.

The original Tesla Cybertruck is made of the same stainless steel alloy. That of which SpaceX uses for its Starship spaceship, and it can withstand attack from a 9-millimeter handgun. The glass is also meant to be bulletproof.

The Cybertruck starts at $39,900 for the single-motor rear-wheel-drive version. And goes up to $69,900 for the tri-motor all-wheel-drive version; self-driving features are a $7,000 add-on.

Fortunately, the Cybertruck was unveiled in November 2019 by Elon Musk. And since its release, there have been numerous designs by automobile technicians. The most spectacular is that made from a Lada Samara car (A.K.A Lada Sputnik in Russia).

The fake Russian Cybertruck is powered by a 1.6-liter gasoline engine paired to a manual gearbox. To access the door-less car, you have to climb in through the trunk.

Finally, the Tesla Cybertruck replica looks similar to the original. But unlike the real Cybertruck, these cars run on petrol. However, its creators have plans to replace the petrol engine with an electric powertrain. According to them, “we might give it electric traction like Tesla, we have a lot of ideas for this project”.

Additionally, according to its creators, the project, including the materials, labour, and the donor car (Lada Sputnik), cost about $1,300. However, they are asking $10,800 to bring this Russian ride to complete fruition.
